Summer Rock Camp is an ideal music program for students ages 8-18, with beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, who want an immersive rock ensemble performance and recording experience.
Campers spend 2 weeks working in a hands-on environment, learning real performance and recording techniques and the joys and complexities of being in a rock band. Campers will enjoy forming a band with others at their playing level, learning new songs from their favorite bands, composing original songs, improving their skills, developing their band’s identity and logo all the while working with some of the top professional working musicians of Santa Fe. This access to established music professionals who will share their experience and knowledge will help young musicians understand some of the options open to them in the music industry.
Campers will also record a CD at the professional audio recording facility ‘Rancho Digital,’ will perform in a live concert at the Santa Fe Performance Exchange and will enjoy the opportunity to visit 98.1 Radio Free Santa Fe for an on-air and in-studio interview and to have a song (one song per band) played live on air to promote the concert. Each camper will receive a professionally mastered CD of their songs, a DVD of the concert, some swag, a camp T-shirt and a working knowledge of songwriting and performing, and memories and experiences that they will cherish for a lifetime.
Camp sessions are two weeks long, four hours a day, Monday thru Friday. The campers can choose from morning sessions, 9:00am to 1:00pm, or afternoon sessions 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Session dates are:

Camp tuition is $500.00
